How it works

By joining The Next Big Creator Competition, you’ll have the opportunity to win the grand prize of $100,000 or one of three runner-up prizes of $10,000—all for creating a new online course on Teachable. 40 runner-ups will also be featured on Teachable’s newsletter, blog, and social.

The competition officially runs from April 1 to September 30, 2022. But don’t wait to enter because the sooner you get started, the sooner you can start earning!

Here’s what you’ll need to do to enter and win:

STEP 1

Upon registration, you’ll take a short intake survey to determine which track you’ll compete in (more on that next).

Step 2

Join any Teachable plan

Select any Teachable plan to be entered into the competition. If you’re already on Teachable, you’ll need to fill out the competition form to register and join.

Step 3

Check your email

Don’t miss your confirmation in your email—that’s where you’ll find your link to the Competition Participant Hub, included with entry. (If you don’t receive a confirmation email, you may not be properly registered—please reach out to nextbigcreator@teachable.com for help.)

Step 4

Get help from Teachable

Together is better: That’s our motto. So throughout the competition, we’ll send you tools and strategies to help you make progress, stay on track, and hit milestones. Plus, if you’re on a paid plan, you’ll also get access to the Teachable Kickstart Program which includes live demos, Q&A sessions, and more.

Step 5

Build and sell your course

…and watch the money come in. The competition winner will be the person who has the highest single-month earnings between April 1 and September 30, 2022—meaning each month, you have a new opportunity to win.

Whether you have no followers yet or 500,000—there’s a place for you in this competition. You compete against others in your designated track for one of the three runner-up prizes. The grand prize is awarded to the winner across all tracks.

The grand prize will be awarded to the person with the highest single-month earnings among all four tracks.

Who is eligible to enter the competition?

Anyone on a Teachable plan (including free) is eligible to enter. Official rules apply. See here for full official rules.

When does the competition start and end?

The competition begins April 1, 2022 and ends September 30, 2022. Registration opens on April 1, 2022.

Is there a leaderboard where I can see how I’m doing?

Yes, there is a leaderboard for each of the four competition tracks: Kickoff, Validate, Rising, and Verified. Leaderboards will be updated once monthly—check your email on the first of every month for a link to the latest standings.

How can I win the competition?

Prizes are based on single-month earnings between April 1 and September 30, 2022. To win the grand prize of $100,000, you’ll have to earn the highest amount in a single month across all four tracks during the six months of the competition. To earn a runner-up prize of $10,000, you’ll have to earn the highest amount in a single month for your track (excluding the grand prize winner’s track) during the six months of the competition.

Can I still join the competition if I’ve never created an online course?

Yes! In fact, this is the perfect opportunity to get started. You’ll get access to helpful guides, live mentorship sessions, and more to keep you on track. Also, because we sort you into designated tracks, you’ll also be competing against people in a similar creator stage as you for the runner-up prizes.

What resources will be available to me during the competition?

Upon joining the competition, you’ll get access to the Competition Participant Hub, which includes templates for course outlines and sales pages, helpful video tutorials, and more. You’ll also get bi-weekly emails from the Teachable team with helpful tips, demos, Q&As, and other resources. Additionally, if you belong to a Basic, Pro, or Business plan on Teachable, you’ll have access to the Teachable Kickstart Program, our exclusive onboarding program designed to help new customers get up to speed and start making sales.
